Top Shelf Builders did my bathroom and wow. My apartment had a bathroom in its "original" condition. Also i live in a Manhattan coop which presents its own challenges. I can't even believe this is my bathroom now and it was done at the agreed upon date. Top shelf was quick to respond and available via FaceTime to show my anything during the process. Highly recommend. I plan to use them again for my next room renovation
We worked with top shelf builders on two separate projects. the first with Block renovation to completely renovate the bathroom and then given how great they did with that renovation we hired them for a complete kitchen renovation, deck installation as well as some other repairs throughout the apartment. I worked directly with Bill and Pavan who were both truly wonderful. This renovation was all done with me being out of state and in a different time zone. Bill answered my calls and texts at all hours and was on top of the work, always sending me updates with photos of the progress. The pandemic hit and with that they were very flexible with the co-ops rules and able to manage everything professionally and safely. Although I physically was unable to inspect the work due again to the pandemic, very close friends as well as the new tenants were all very impressed with the quality of the work. Would definitely recommend them to friends and if ever I do need to do more work they would be the first I would call.
We could not be more thrilled with the work that Top Shelf did on our Brooklyn Condo. They were always professional, on time and transparent throughout the entire process. We hired Pavan, Bill and team to give our kitchen a 'facelift' and to build a custom closets and shelving into our sloping living room wall. They even helped us to create a custom built-in dog crate and door for our dog Rocky. All I can say is WOW... The work speaks for itself! The doors on both our closet and kitchen were particularly custom as we wanted a bead-board detailing that needed to be done by hand. This look is very European and something you don't normally see in the states but after showing off the finished product to our friends and family I feel like we might see this trend popping up in more places. The custom dog door has been a HIT with everyone, including our dog. For any dog owners, you know that crates can take up a huge amount of space and can also take away from the entire look of the room. Bill and Pavan worked with us to add in this very unique feature and it looks more incredible than we could have imagined. We will be turning to Top Shelf for ALL other work for our house and cannot recommend them enough.
We hired Pavan and Bill at Top Shelf Builders to completely redo the basement and extend our kitchen in our LIC NY condo. Despite how stressful and frustrating home renovation can be. It was a pleasure working with them throughout the whole process, which took about 2 months spread out over half a year. 1) Bill was able to draft very detailed designs and adapt the project layouts to each of our requirements. It made a huge difference for us on how to visualize the space but also deciding whether or not we would do it. 2) Like with any home renovation projects, there are always some unforeseen events. Pavan was excellent at explaining those issues, proposing a few solutions and making sure we know what the impact was on the construction, and financially. 3) Apart from a few misses, the communication was generally great. Not just with us, but also our neighbors, who found them polite and respectful of the common areas. 4) We would like to specifically highlight Pavan and Bill's adaptive skills and flexibility. They did their best to always offer their help to make sure we didn't have to worry about "small" things: adapting their schedule, staying late or coming earlier, receiving and moving packages, installing random electronics, managing payments, checking that our appliances fit, etc... We recommend them!
